This year I made a change in my career that brought me to L.A.Desmarais school. When the opportunity presented itself I started looking deep into the possibility of uprooting myself from a school in which I truthfully enjoyed very much, and had become highly involved with many students and families. That school being I.C.S.
I had heard very quickly about what a great school LAD was and that I should really consider the move. There was one exception though in many conversations.
"It is an open concept school".
That is what many people were adding into their opinion of the mid-sized school in East Windsor.
I was familiar with open concept schools since my wife has been a teacher in one for 9 years. And it really didn't concern me very much. SoItook the new role and have been loving life in the open ever since.
Even since starting at LAD, the first question other teachers have for me is " but how are you doing with the open concept?".
My answer, " Great".
